This is a digital sewing pattern for women´s trousers and gaiters worn about 1900.
This trousers are designed according to several extant cycling trousers from around 1900.
The knee length cycling trousers have in seam pockets at each side seam, the volume is folded into a deep pleat at top and undersides to fit the waistband and knee straps. Instead of that deep pleats you can gather the excess width (only recommended when sewing with lightweight fabrics) or fold into several small pleats. Consider fabric for a lightweight lining if wanted.
The trousers can be worn with or without a corset.
I recommend sturdy fabrics from wool or cotton, like tweed or twill, and midweight linen for interfacings (pocket, fly, waistband and knee straps), lightweight cotton for the pockets.
Gaiters were made from the same wool fabric as the trousers, as well as from leather or felt. The gaiters are fitted to be worn with shoes with a heel of 4-6cm, buttoned at the side and hold in place with a strap, the edges casted with matching bias binding or a leather strip.
A seam allowance of 5/8” (1,5cm) is included, except differing instructions directly on the sewing pattern.
Also suitable for steampunk costumes.

It is a multi-size pattern, you can choose between US 8-18 (EU 34-44) and US 20-30 (EU 46-56).
