Bringing together the aged rustic feel of weathered barn wood with a modern sense of design, this free-standing wine rack was made from steel and a solid piece of reclaimed hemlock wood. It securely holds four standard 750-ml wine bottles and lets you display the labels of your favorite wines.

The wine rack you see in these photos is the wine rack you will receive. It is completed and ready to ship out in time for the holidays. (Let me know if you'd like to see more photos before ordering.)

The wine rack listed here was made from a rafter reclaimed rom an c. 1860 barn in North Ferrisburgh, Vermont. My barn wood wine racks are made from wood reclaimed from 1700s to late-1800s barns, farmhouses and similar structures from around Vermont and New England. In these historical, reclaimed timbers this beautiful, rare wood lives on.

The wood was lightly planed and sanded leaving the natural dark, aged wood look and as much of its original patina and rough texture as possible. You can see not only the grain and aged character that nature gave this beautiful wood, but also the signs of use and history that humans brought to it - including nail holes and the darkened iron stains from those nails. Any natural cracking or other "flaws" have been stabilized with a special glue which creates a strong bond while also allowing for natural wood movement.

This wine rack has a black oxide steel base, giving it both stability and a "modern meets rustic" look.

DIMENSIONS: This 4-bottle wine rack is just under 21" tall with a 5"x6" steel base.
