A delightful hanging glass terrarium filled with a variety of lichens, branches, Manzanita, pine cones, seed pods and polished rocks. The large hand-blown glass orb has a closed glass loop on top and comes with a long piece of jute twine for hanging. Each terrarium will be unique and beautiful. Gorgeous hanging alone or in multiples. Does not sit flat on a table. It is super easy to customize too, if you have something special of your own that you would like to add to it.

No need to worry about watering this terrarium, lichens are very hardy and do not die when they dry out. Lichens become brittle and stiff when not watered, but look pretty much the same. Spritz lightly with a little water and they become soft, pliable and spongy. Lichens need to dry out between waterings so you can water when it is convenient for you.
Lichens are unusual creatures and are not a single organism the way most other living things are, but rather a combination of two organisms living together intimately. They are a combination of fungi and algae working together.

I personally handmake and ship each order, so please allow up to 7 business days before shipping. During the busy holidays it may take longer. Orders are processed in the order they are received.
