Bringing together the aged rustic feel of weathered barn wood with a modern sense of design, this 17"-tall free-standing wine rack will be made from steel and a solid piece of reclaimed wood, custom made to fit under your kitchen cabinet. The wine rack will securely hold (3) three 750-ml wine bottles and let you display the labels of your favorite wines.
The wood to be used will be determined by myself and the customer using photos of wood options and will be reclaimed from either a barn, farmhouse or similar structure from around Vermont and New England. Initial communications indicate that the preferred wood for this wine rack is one of two pieces of hemlock from an 1860 North Ferrisburgh, Vermont, barn. The final piece of wood to be used will be chosen by myself and the customer. The wood will be sanded lightly and finished to bring out the natural dark, aged wood look, and leave as much of its original character as possible. You can expect to see not only the grain and aged character that nature gave this beautiful wood, but also the signs of use and history that humans brought to it.
The wine rack will have a black oxide steel base, giving adding both stability and a "modern meets rustic" look.

Please note that the wine rack you see in the above photo is not the same wine rack you will receive. Each wine rack is unique and individually made - wood grain, species, color, and the patina/character of age varies. As stated above, the final choice of wood will be made by the customer and myself.
