These spoons are carved and shaped out of a solid piece of wood salvaged from kindling scraps discarded by a large furniture shop in Northern Vermont. The photos here show a hickory spoon, but maple, walnut, cherry and other wood species are also available in this style. The overall length is approximately 12 3/4". The bowl of the spoon is approximately 2 7/8"x2 7/8". Measurements may vary slightly

My cooking spoons are finished with a food-safe, durable and natural walnut oil with a topcoat of my own walnut oil and 100% pure beeswax mixture. The walnut oil penetrates deep into the wood grain protecting more than just the wood surface. Care is as simple as wiping clean and towel drying. Periodically refreshing with a natural oil will keep this cooking spoon beautiful and useful for years to come. Each of my wood kitchen utensils comes with a care instructions card with more details.
