Whether you're entertaining company or just putting a weeknight dinner together, these baguette boards are perfect for serving bread, cheese or appetizers. Made from upcycled wood scraps from production furniture shops in Northern Vermont, my serving boards were inspired by several large bags of beautiful walnut and cherry scraps being sold as "kindling" in a local St. Albans, Vermont, convenience store. It seemed a shame to let this gorgeous wood burn - so I began making a variety of serving, cutting and bread boards.

These baguette boards measure 21-24" long by approximately 4.5" wide. The handles are 3" long. You have a choice of materials and styles - either a contrasting combination of walnut, cherry, and/or maple "kindling" strips, or one solid piece of one species of wood, as in the walnut boards shown above. For both use and display, you can dedicate one side to cutting, leaving the other unblemished for serving and display.

MADE TO ORDER:
The photos above are examples and do not necessarily include the actual board you will receive. I am happy to base your board on one that you see here - let me know if you have a preference. If you are ordering a "kindling strip" board, please let me know if you have a preference of wood species (the above photos show a combination of walnut and cherry, but maple is also available). Each board is unique and individually made to order - wood grain and color varies. Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing before I ship the baguette board.

NATURAL BEESWAX AND OIL FINISH:
All boards are finished with my own food-safe, ecological and durable mixture of walnut oil and beeswax. Hand wash and do not leave in standing water. Periodic seasoning with a food-safe, natural oil will keep these boards beautiful and useful for years to come. Each of my wood kitchen utensils comes with a care instructions card with more details.
